Certified - Position - Special Education
Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities in a high school setting.
Knowledge of IDEA, current state special education rules and regulations, and compliance issues relevant to programming, assessment, and procedural safeguards for students with disabilities.
Must be able to write and implement compliant IEPs and facilitate IEP meetings.
Experience with administration and interpretation of standardized assessments and alternative assessments. (TCAP Portfolio)
Good organizational skills, good communication skills to facilitate teaching, assessment, meeting, and data management responsibilities.
Willingness to work within programming areas as a collaborative team member.
Possession of good technology skills to facilitate implementation of academic and behavior intervention programs.
May include providing general physical assistance to students with various disabilities. Tasks will involve, but are not limited to, assisting students with toileting/feeding/other self-help and behavioral needs.
Required Qualifications (MUST have in order to apply):
Ability to provide supervision and instruction for students with social, behavioral communication, physical, self-help, and cognitive disabilities.
Knowledge of curriculum and interventions designed for students with social, behavioral, communication, physical, self-help, and cognitive disabilities.
Specialized skills in working with students with significant communication disorders.
Knowledge of applied behavioral analysis and discrete trail training; knowledge of PECS systems and a variety of organizational systems for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Ability to complete training in Crisis Prevention Intervention.
