Certified - Position - Career and Technical Education - Trade and Industrial
The Erlanger Institute for HealthCare and Innovation at Howard High School seeks a CTE/Future Ready teacher to lead the development of this Future Ready Program. This is an exciting opportunity to build a Future Ready program with an area industry partner, Erlanger Hospital, in order to give Hamilton County students exposure and access to careers in health science.
Candidates uniquely qualified for this position will have an industry background in health science (please see specific qualifications below). The Future Ready teacher will teach CTE courses in the health science pathways to 9-12 grade students while working with other core academic teachers to plan project- based learning opportunities and instruction with real world connections to the career theme.
We are seeking candidates with strong interpersonal skills, management and/or leadership experience, and a track record on deadline- driven projects. The Future Ready teacher will be the liaison for this program with Erlanger Hospital and must effectively collaborate and plan academy activities with partners inside and outside the school. Candidates should have a passion for working with high school students and an ability to build relationships with students, with a particular interest with working in a diverse setting with students in urban school
If the candidate does not already possess a CTE Health Science licensure (720) the candidate should expect to complete requirements for a practitioner occupational licensure.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Associate’s degree or above leading to a Tennessee Board of Health issued licensure in one of the following areas or occupations:
